He has appeared in most of works of Samurai Shodown, from the primary generation to the newest game. He is very obsessed with Japanese culture, especially the painstaking research on Ninjutsu. He is good at the Ninjutsu. Over the years, Poppy has also learned some unique skills during this period. Poppy and Galford created a unique combination of ninjutsu to fight together.

In the background of Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa’s Revenge, the Amakusa Shiro, once beaten down, was resurrected, and the disaster was spread around the Amakusa, Shimabara. After Galford heard this news, he reopened Shimabara’s evil-defeating trip with Poppy for justice and mission.
