Following the tragic murder of her parents by human traffickers, Mikasa found salvation when Eren Jeager rescued her. From that point on, she lived under the care of Eren and his parents, Grisha and Carla, until the fall of Wall Maria. Remarkably, Mikasa is the sole surviving descendant of the Shogun clan, which remained on Paradis Island and is therefore connected to the Azumabito family. As a result, she wields considerable political influence within Hizuru.
