The intricate costume prototype was crafted by Ichimatsu doll maker Aklesaki Yamazaki. The kimono design cleverly emphasizes its lines around the hem, tailored to complement Shinobu's petite figure. Utilizing the Kata Yuzen dyeing technique by Nishimura Shoji Shoten, a renowned textile merchant in Kyoto, the kimono features a charming incorporation of Shinobu's favorite treat—donuts—into its pattern. Crafted from luxurious rinzu fabric with a woven ground pattern, the kimono's design maintains an air of elegance, with its pattern subtly standing out amidst the vibrant dyeing.
