The first half of the 1980s were called a Gunpla boom, with many modelers creating Gunpla models using various design approaches that sought to make make them as real as possible.

The Mobile Suit color schemes and markings of the illustrations drawn by Mr.Okawara when the theatrical trilogy was released have a military feel, and many modelers adopted a method to express realistic Mobile Suits with Gunpla. This caught on as a finalized expressive style for the suits. Following that, 1/100 Real Type MS Series models were released, and to this day many modelers continue to express themselves based on this “Real” theme.

This product was designed with primary color configurations toned down, and a color distribution that allows the many modelers who experimented with the “Real Type Color” in the 1980s to continue to freely express themselves.

Various markings have been made into decals based on what was popular at the time.

Those who feel nostalgic for this past generation may feel even more so, given that an additional touch of silver (known as “hagechoro”) has been added.
